The seal recognizes excellence in preparing and disseminating data on greenhouse gas emissions.

Brazil, July 2026 | SAAM Towage has received recognition in Brazil once more by earning the Gold Seal from the Brazilian Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Program for the fifth consecutive year. The program’s highest rating, the distinction is awarded to companies that publish a complete, verified emissions inventory.

“We are proud to receive the Gold Seal for the fifth year in a row. This recognition confirms our ongoing commitment to sustainability and drives our efforts to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions,” said Renata Ervilha, Country Manager for SAAM Towage in Brazil.

Auditing and verification by an independent third party lends credibility to the report and constitutes a first step toward implementing measures to control carbon dioxide emissions. These actions are complemented by other environmental management initiatives designed to mitigate the impact of our operations.

This recognition joins other achievements made possible by ongoing efforts both at sea and on land, such as ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, PAS 2060 certification for carbon neutrality, and the implementation of continuous improvement processes to reduce fuel consumption. At SAAM, sustainability is an ongoing commitment that guides our operational efficiency.
