  • 2022

    SAAM Towage Panama renews its fleet with the purchase of Quibian, the third new 70 TBP tug.

  • 2021

    SAAM Panama renews the fleet with two new 70 TBP tugboats.

  • 2019

    Panama becomes part of SAAM Towage, regionally strengthening service capabilities with new tugboats.

  • 2017

    First service in Punta Rincón (First copper export service in Minera Panamá). The fleet increases to 15 tugboats and operations begin in Puerto Armuelles.

  • 2016

    Panama Ports Balboa concession is renewed and Panama Ports Cristobal obtains a concession. The fleet grows to 13 tugboats, the SST Rambala tugboat is incorporated, the strongest tugboat in Panama.

  • 2014

    Start of joint venture operations between SAAM and Boskalis. The fleet grows to 11 tugs

  • 2011

    Panama Ports Balboa concession is awarded.

  • 1999

    The fleet grows to 8 tugs, the first new builds enter the fleet.

  • 1997

    Start of operations at MIT.

  • 1986

    Start of operations in Panama.
