Milestones in sustainability

Sustainability is a key axis of SAAM's management, and our strategy takes concrete commitments to develop operations in a profitable and projectable way in time.

PILLARS

Our Sustainability Strategy has ambitious, responsible and measurable goals in four pillars:

1. Reportability and Risk Management

Ensure regulatory compliance under rigorous standards of integrity, anticipating and mitigating risks, along with reporting our performance according to SASB and CMF requirements, and maintaining our position in the DJSI.

2. People and Social Commitment

Promote and diversify the talent of our team, with high safety standards, in addition to contributing to the well-being of the community and our environment through strategic alliances.

3. Environment and Climate Action

Implement measures that contribute to climate change mitigation and carbon neutrality, along with adopting a standardized management system to optimize our environmental performance.

4. Sustainable Development and Projects

Implement innovative projects to enhance our operations, aligned with our commitment to develop comprehensive solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

We have built this commitment on the accreditation of a set of certifications and re-certifications ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and recently the carbon neutrality certification PAS 2060 and the verification of the inventory of greenhouse gases (GHG) ISO 14064; all integrated into our management system.

SAAM Towage Chile

obtained a quantification seal from Huella Chile of the Ministry of the Environment.

SAAM Towage Costa Rica & SAAM Towage Canada

received environmental distinctions.

SAAM Towage Colombia

obtained the PAS 2060 carbon neutrality certification, through the compensation of 100% of the GHG emissions generated during 2020 by its operations.
