The company received the highest rating for its GHG emissions inventory.

Brazil, August 05, 2025. | For the fourth straight year, the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) Sustainability Center awarded SAAM Towage Brazil the GHC Protocol Program’s Gold Seal rating. The honor reflects SAAM Towage’s ongoing commitment to emissions management, excellence in environmental management and the sustainability of its towing operations.

“We are proud to earn this seal once again. It is a valuable tool for effectively measuring, reporting and managing our greenhouse gas emissions. Sustainability is fundamental to our business, and our strategy helps us continue innovating and setting new industry standards,” said SAAM Towage’s country manager in Brazil, Renata Ervilha.

The Gold Seal, the program’s top rating, requires a comprehensive GHG inventory that records all scope 1 and 2 emissions and is independently verified by a certifying body approved by the Brazilian National Institute of Metrology, Quality, and Technology (Instituto Nacional de Metrología, Calidad y Tecnología or Inmetro).

SAAM Towage has implemented a series of strategic operational measures to reduce emissions across the 12 countries where it operates.

This recognition adds to the company’s recent achievements in Brazil: PAS 2060 Certification for 2022 and 2023, certifying the company as 100% GHG-neutral, and ISO 14001 certification, which recognizes environmental management and compliance with international standards.
