The first electric tug in Latin America belongs to SAAM

It will operate starting in the second half of 2025 in Puerto Chacabuco, in the Chilean Patagonia.
It provides services for the National Petroleum Company (Enap).
It reduces CO₂ emissions by nearly 100% compared to the operation previously carried out in the area.
It also reduces ambient and underwater noise (offering greater protection for marine life).

They are powered by
two Li-ion battery banks,
