The first electric tug in Latin America belongs to SAAM

It will begin operating in the second half of 2025 at Puerto Chacabuco, in the Chilean Patagonia.
It will provide services for the National Petroleum Company (ENAP).
It will achieve a near 100% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to current operations.
It will also reduce ambient and underwater noise, offering greater protection for marine life.

They are powered by
two Li-ion battery banks,
