    Start of operations of the company’s first two electric tugboats in the Port of Vancouver, Canada.

  • 2022

    SAAM Towage Canada has expanded its coverage to Port Moody and Port McNeil.

  • 2022

    Agreement with Teck and Neptune for the construction of the first two electric tugs in the SAAM Towage fleet.

    Acquisition of the tugboat operations of Standard Towing and Davies Tugboats.

    SAAM Towage Canada signs historic agreement to form a strategic alliance with Coast Tsimshian Enterprises Ltd.

  • 2019

    SAAM acquires Boskalis shares in the joint venture and SAAM Towage Canada is born

    Joint venture between SAAM Smit and Boskalis is established

    Smit International acquires Rivtow from the Cosulich family

    Tiger Tugz launches and begins providing ship assist services in Vancouver.

    Rivtow acquires majority interest in Westminster tug boat company, West Tug.

    Armour Salvage and Towing is acquired and we begin providing ship assist services in Prince Rupert

    River Towing Company Ltd. merges with Straits Towing.
